Welcome Naiki
He's a ray of sunshine, a freestyle skier, and a fly fisherman. We're talking about Nico Tschuor, also known as Naiki. What connects us? We both seek and find balance from our daily work lives in nature. In the summer of 2020, I first told Naiki about Bob's Flies – he was immediately enthusiastic about the project. Whether it was searching for and testing new products or going fly fishing together, Naiki supported us wherever we needed a helping hand, and we are incredibly grateful for that! That's why we're thrilled to have him officially join Bob's ProTeam.
So that you can learn more about Bob's Flies' biggest supporter, he'll introduce himself right away:

Bob's ProTeam - Naiki
My fishing career started in 2014 in Obersaxen, as a good old-fashioned "Würmli-Bader" (a local term for a person who enjoys swimming in the Würmli stream). I got my SANA fishing license together with my cousin in Ilanz. Afterwards, we climbed into every ravine in Obersaxen, explored every stream, and were always on the lookout for the best spots.

In 2015, I moved to Chur and took a two-year break from fishing. However, in 2017, the bug bit me again, and thanks to my new location, I suddenly had a much larger fishing area. Together with my colleagues, we often went to lakes to catch fish using spinners, Mepps reels, and wobblers. Through my then-boss, I got into fly fishing in 2018. He let me try his fly rod. It wasn't long before my spinning rod stayed in the basement, and I was only ever seen with a fly rod.

Together with Röbi, we hiked to countless mountain lakes and caught beautiful fish there using fly fishing techniques. Some were small, but a fish is a fish. We had a fantastic time, and ever since, there's nothing we consider more thrilling than catching a fish on a dry fly. That's when I got hooked. Since 2018, you'll only find me on the water with my fly rod. There's nothing better than going out with the Houmis, casting the fly, and enjoying nature.
I met Nicola at work. He's the reason I've gotten even more involved in fly fishing. We've been out on the water with him many times, and he's given me and my colleagues invaluable tips on casting techniques, rigging, reading the water, and much more.

Today I spend almost every free minute I have by the water. Fly fishing is no longer just a hobby for me, it's a passion. Eyes on the fly, rod down, reel in the line – now! This feeling can't be described in a thousand words.
