Bob’s Flies at Mark Sport in Bergün

Are you on holiday in Bergün, Savognin, Davos, or somewhere else in the Albula Valley – and just want to get out on the water for a bit? For exactly this purpose, we have set up a permanent hub right in the middle of the village for the entire summer. At Mark Sport in Bergün, you'll find a curated fly fishing corner by Bob’s Flies, so you don't have to drive all the way across Graubünden just to get a forgotten spool of tippet, a suitable fly, or a complete combo.

Where to find us

Mark Sport is the traditional sports shop in Bergün – run by the third generation and recognizable from afar by the red lettering at the entrance. On the ground floor, you'll find bike rentals, scooters, and the usual sports shop selection. One floor down is our Bob's Flies display – clearly arranged so you can find what you need in five minutes.

What you can get on site

We have put together the display so that you can both spontaneously head to the water and specifically supplement missing items:

  • Flies – a curated selection of dry flies, nymphs, and streamers, tailored to the Grisons mountain streams and valley lakes around the Albula.
  • Tippets & Leaders – common strengths from 0.10 mm to 0.20 mm, plus tapered leaders for dry and nymph fishing.
  • Landing Nets – handy wading and folding nets, fish-friendly with rubber mesh.
  • Fishing Jackets – water-repellent wading jackets, in case the weather changes in the valley.
  • Three complete Rod Combos (rod, reel, backing, fly line, and leader – fully rigged and ready, you just need to tie knots):
    • Beginner Combo – forgiving in casting, ideal for your first day with a fly rod.
    • All-round Combo for Advanced Anglers – proven #5 class, covers almost everything you need in Graubünden, from dry flies to small streamers.
    • Nymph Combo for Mountain Streams – longer, softer rod for modern tight-line and Euro-nymph techniques in the Grisons mountain streams.

This means you'll be equipped in just a few minutes – whether you just need a box with the right patterns or want to take a complete combo for the first time.

Important to know: the on-site team

The Mark Sport team provides us with the space – for which we are very grateful. However, they are not passionate fly fishers themselves, and therefore can only offer limited assistance on site when it comes to detailed questions about patterns, casting techniques, leader setup, or water selection.

That's not a problem – we are just a call or an email away:

For all detailed questions, contact us directly: Phone: 079 103 42 69 Email: info@bobsflies.ch We are happy to advise you – even spontaneously, while you are in the shop.

Before you go to the water

A few tips to save you trouble in the Albula Valley:

  • For all waters in the canton, you need a fishing license (day, week, month, or annual license). Day licenses can be purchased online via the KFVGR license shop. For monthly and annual licenses, the SaNa expertise certificate is mandatory.
  • The canton-wide barbless hook regulation applies – all hooks must be barbless.
  • Current closed seasons and minimum sizes can be found in the Cantonal Fishing Regulations.

Which waters around Bergün are best suited, you can read in our guides to Albula near Tiefencastel and Julia (Gelgia) between Bivio and Tiefencastel.

Good luck fishing in the Albula Valley

We look forward to seeing you in Bergün. Come in, look around, grab what you need – and if something is missing or you want a second opinion: a quick call is all it takes, and we'll be there for you.
